My Review

What can I say about Astonishia Story other than this game has a with a very classic medieval fantasy storyline to it and comes equipped with an old-school charm. Astonishia Story has a lot of drama as well as humorous scenes both in and out of the storyline (you have to see it to understand), but don’t let that fool you Astonishia Story has a very captivating storyline that will keep you from putting it down from beginning to end.

Players who do play can hope to see tons side quests a long the way, and commanding a full arsenal of classical fantasy-type characters. Although the side quest are numerous their actually quite short and sometimes quite amusing to watch as well as your own characters interacting with the situation. At the end of the players are given a total of points on how they played which is good, so players can go back a try to improve their score.

The actual game time or the battles system has a very old-school square up-and-down left-and-right grid. Not that I’m complaining the old battle system does comes with brand new special effects and good facial expressions. To top it off they also added random flying object such as clouds, birds, and insects which in my opinion does become a little annoying watch these things sweep across the screen.

I can honestly say even though Astonishia Story is average at best it does brings that old reminiscing feeling that comes with the meeting of an old friend even if it‘s for the first time. This mixed with a totally cliché, but solid story structure adds to an RPG with total playability from start to finish
